Refund & Cancellation Policy

All of our policies come with a 30-day cooling off period.

Cancelling within the first 30-days:

If you wish to cancel your policy within 30-days of purchasing it, please let us know and so long as no claim has been made and no claims are pending, we'll cancel your policy immediately and refund the amount paid in full.

Cancelling after the first 30-days:

If you wish to cancel your policy after the first 30-days, please let us know and so long as no claim has been made and no claims are pending, we'll cancel your policy immediately. This cancellation will invoke a daily pro-rata rebate of unused premium calculated from the date that we receive your cancellation request. This rebate amount can either be used against the cost of a new policy policy on a new vehicle or, be refunded to you. Depending on the underwriter of your policy, a cancellation fee may apply if you are not using the rebated amount towards the cost of a new policy - please refer to the full terms and conditions of your policy for more details.

If you elect to have the rebated amount refunded to you and the cancellation is within 6-months of you having purchased the policy, so long as the card that you used to pay for your policy has not expired we will normally be able to refund the amount back to the card that you originally used to pay for the policy. If it is not possible to refund the amount back to the original card used for payment, we'll send the money to you by way of a bank transfer instead.

Please note that we no longer issue cheques.

Cancelling a policy that was paid for by way of a credit agreement:

If you are cancelling a policy that was paid for by way of a credit agreement and are due either a full or pro-rata rebate (see above) that rebate amount will initially be paid towards the outstanding balance of that credit agreement. Any surplus funds will be refunded to you. Any shortfall in funds will be payable by you.

Policies on which you can make multiple claims:

Unlike GAP insurance (which is a one-trick-pony), Scratch & Dent, Tyre and Alloy Wheel insurance allow you to make multiple claims throughout the policy duration. However, should you go on to cancel a Scratch & Dent, Tyre or Alloy Wheel policy after having previously made even just one claim, no rebate/refund of premium will be made.
